Ken Clemens – Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator
Coach Ken Clemens, his wife Julie, and his three sons, Ty, Drew, and Jack have been proud Liberty residents for several years now. Coach Clemens graduated from William Jewell College, where he played football and ran Indoor Track. He began his career at Oak Park High School, where he taught English, served as an assistant football and wrestling coach, and the head track coach. Coach Clemens' first head football job was at Raytown High School where his accomplishments include coaching Raytown's single-season record holders for pass completions (John Wegner, '05), pass receptions (James Lindsey, '05), and sacks (Aldon Smith, '07). He also coached three 1,000 yard rushers in his three years at Raytown (DeMonte Whitley, '06; Justen Mack, '07; Ethan Yates, '07). In 2008, Coach Clemens took over the struggling program at Winnetonka High School, whose previous season's record was 0-10. In the first year they promptly won their first conference championship in twenty-three years, and gained their first playoff victory in the school's history on their way to compiling a 7-5 record. They followed that season with another playoff win in 2009, a Top 25 ranking, and a 2,500 yard rusher and Simone finalist in Darrell Jobe. Their final season record was 8-4. It has been Coach Clemens' professional and personal ambition to lead a football program in the City of Liberty, where he has spent the best years of his life. He is proud to be the Head Football Coach at Liberty North High School.
Jake Danneman – Co. Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers
Jake Danneman is the second oldest of four boys from St. Louis and also a twin. Coach Danneman attended Rockwood Summit High School where he was an all conference, all district, all metro RB/LB for the Falcons. Coach Danneman attended Missouri Valley College in Marshall, MO. While in Marshall, Coach Danneman participated and was a 4-year letterman, male student athlete of the year, and captain for the Vikings. Coach Danneman graduated with a degree in Phys. Ed. After graduation, Coach went onto Richmond High School where he coached football, wrestling and track. During his time in Richmond he was able to help coach 2 district title teams, 2 quarter finalist’s teams and 1 semi-finalist team. In wrestling, Coach Danneman had the chance to be a part of 15 individual state medalist, 9 individual state champions, and 3 top 5 teams including a team state championship in 2005. In 2004, Coach Danneman was chosen as a coach for the Missouri East/West Lion’s All-star game. From Richmond, Coach went on to Park Hill South for two years, serving as the Defensive Coordinator for one and assistant wrestling for two. Coach Danneman was fortunate to be part of the Winnetonka coaching staff the last two seasons as the Griffin's made it to the second round of the State Playoff's for two consecutive years. Coach Danneman is very excited for the opportunity to help build and establish the future traditions for Liberty North High School’s inaugural season. Coach Danneman looks forward to the new challenges it will present and the building of the Eagle Football Program.
Charlie Pugh- Co. Defensive Coordinator/ Defensive Backs
Charlie Pugh played and coached at Northwest Missouri State University. He played at NW from 1996-1999 and during that time we had a record of 52-4, winning 4 MIAA Conference Championships & 2 National Championships. He is the former Defensive Coordinator at Liberty High School and joined the Eagles as the Co-Defensive Coordinator in 2011. He is excited to help build the traditions of the future for Liberty North High School Football.
Brian Clark – Special Teams Coordinator/Running Backs
Coach Clark grew up in Camdenton, Missouri, where he graduated from Camdenton High School and attended Central Missouri State University. He has earned degrees in the Social Sciences and Education. Following graduation, Coach Clark joined the military and earned the rank of Captain. Coach Clark learned Russian in the military, and served in multiple missions in the Balkans. He taught at Raytown High School for three years, and coached football and wrestling for four years. He coached and taught at Winnetonka High School for an additional two years. Coach Clark is excited to be a part of a continuing effort to build traditions at Liberty North.
Chris Rooney – Offensive Line
Coach Rooney was born and raised in Sioux City, IA. He attended Bishop Heelan Catholic High School where he participated in football, basketball, track, and soccer. He was an All-State football player, and won the State Shot Put title in 1994. Coach Rooney earned his Bachelor of Arts in Education at the University of Akron, where he was the Offensive MVP during the 1996 football season. He earned his Masters in Special Education at Morningside College. He taught Special Education students in the Behavioral Disorder setting for the 9 years at West High School in Sioux City, IA. He was an Assistant football, basketball and track coach his first 6 years there. From 2005 to 2007, he was the Offensive Coordinator/Running Back Coach at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, IA. From 2008-2010 he was the Offensive Line coach at Winnetonka High School. He also coached JV basketball and the Throwers for Track and Field. This season will be his 14th year in Education and his 3nd year at Liberty North High School. Coach Rooney also coaches Freshman Basketball and the Throwers for Track and Field. Coach Rooney has two children, Casey is 6 years old and will be attending Warren Hills Elementary this fall and Alexandra is 4 years old and they look forward to being future Eagles.
Adam Bolling - Defensive Line
Coach Bolling was born and raised in Central City, NE. He received his PE/Health degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Coach Bolling was a 4-year starter at defensive end for the Lopers. While at Kearney he was also an All-conference shot-putter. He played two years of indoor football after College. Since then he has taught elementary PE for 10 years in Liberty. While in Liberty Public Schools he has coached football for 10 years as well as track for 9 years. He received a Master's Degree from Northwest Missouri State in Athletic Administration during that time. He is married to Jill and they have 5 boys: Kellen, Cooper, Willie, Wyatt and .
Jared Kenealy –Assistant to the Head Coach/Outside Linebackers/JV Defensive Coordinator
Coach Kenealy was born and raised in Liberty. After graduating high school he attended Northwest Missouri State where he received his Bachelors in Education. While at NWMSU he was a student assistant for the football program. In his senior year the Bearcats made a run to the National Championship where they lost in the final seconds. After college Coach Kenealy began his teaching career at Liberty Middle School where he taught Science for two years. He then made the switch to his current position teaching American History at Liberty Junior High. During his past four years of teaching he has coached for the Liberty High School varsity football program. He is married to Allison Kenealy, a Math teacher and Cheerleading Coach in Liberty. Coach Kenealy is excited to be a part of the building of the Liberty North football program!
Joe Boman – Quarterbacks/JV Offensive Coordinator
Coach Boman has been a proud coach and teacher for Liberty for over 7 years. Coach Boman has a wife, Christy, and three kids, Katlyn, Peyton, and Elizabeth. Coach Boman grew up in Pittsburg, Kansas where he graduated from St. Mary’s Colgan High School and Pittsburg State University. Coach Boman started his football coaching career at St. Mary’s Colgan helping the panthers to an undefeated state championship as the offensive line coach. In 2003 Coach Boman starting coaching for Liberty at the freshman level and was the freshman head coach/offensive coordinator for South Valley Junior High School from 2007-2009. Coach Boman is also the assistant varsity coach for the Liberty North baseball team.
Jason Agee – Wide Receivers
Coach Agee was born in Chicago but raised in Kansas City. He attended Park Hill High School where he participated in football and track. He was an All-Conference football player and captain in 2000 and 2001. Coach Agee earned his Bachelors of Arts in Math Education at William Jewell College where played football and was All-Conference player in 2004. He taught math at North Kansas City High School from 2006-2012 where he was the Head Track and Field coach and was an assistant football coach. This will be his 7th year in education and will also coach track this year. Coach Agee is marred to Kyleen Agee and has two chidren. Mireya is 6 years old and Braylon is 4 years old. Coach Agee is excited about the opportunity to coach football at Liberty North.
Eric Whited – Head Freshman
Coach Whited Graduated from Clarinda High School in Clarinda, IA. He graduated college in ‘08 with a B.S. in Biology and B.S. in General Science as well as a minor in German from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, IA. During that time he coached running backs and defensive ends at Newell-Fonda High, in Newell, IA. During the 2005-2008 seasons and Coach Whited helped Newell-Fonda to 3 Class A State Playoff appearances. While at Newell-Fonda he also was the assistant boys and girls track coach from ‘06-‘08. He moved to Liberty in 2008 to accept a science position at South Valley Junior High. He was an assistant coach for SVJH 9th football program coaching wide receivers and defensive backs in 2009. This will be his Third year with the Eagles and he is excited for the 2012 season.

Ted Maxwell- Freshman Receivers/DB's
Coach Maxwell is a 2001 graduate of North Kansas City High School where he was a three year letterman in three sports: football, basketball, and track. Coach Maxwell graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a degree in Communications and minor in coaching. While at Central he played tight end for the Fighting Mules. Coach Maxwell was a two year All-MIAA selection at tight end and ranks second all-time in touchdowns by a tight end. Coach Maxwell also owns the power clean record at Central with a lift of 372 lbs. Coach Maxwell is a Para in the Liberty Public School District and will also help coach our girls’ freshmen basketball and track at Liberty North.
