Co Courtney Whited copy.jpgCourtney Whited- Head Cheer Coach

Coach Whited graduated from North High School in Sioux City, IA where she participated in cheer and track.  She graduated college in ‘08 with a B.S. in Elementary Education and B.S. in Special Education with a Math specialization from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, IA. Coach Whited cheered 3 years for football and basketball while at college, being named captain for the 2007-2008 basketball season. She also participated on Buena Vista’s competition squad which took 1st place at the Iowa Cheerleading Competition in 2007.  Coach Whited moved to Liberty in 2008 starting in Special Services and now teaching Kindergarten at Warren Hills Elementary. Courtney began coaching with the LNHS Eagles as an assistant coach in 2010, taking over as head coach in 2012, collecting Eagle Cheer's very first 1st place finish at Regionals and finishing 4th at the State Cheer Competition.  Coach Whited is very excited to see the program grow in 2013-14!


Co Meghan Mills copy.jpgMeghan Sullivan- Assistant Varsity Cheer Coach

Coach Sullivan grew up in Excelsior Springs, Missouri where she graduated from Excelsior Springs High School. While in high school Coach Sullivan cheered for football and basketball and was Varsity captain for two years. Following graduation Coach Sullivan attended the University of Missouri and earned a Bachelors degree in Social Work with minors in Pyschology and Anthropology. Following graduation Coach Sullivan attended the University of Kansas and earned a Masters degree in Social Work and completed a Play Therapy certificate program at KC Play. Coach Sullivan is currently a Clinical Social Worker at Liberty High School and works in the Therapetic Learning Classroom, and joined the LNHS Cheer Staff in 2011. Coach Sullivan is looking forward to building traditions with the Cheerleading Squad at Liberty North!

Coach Gerber grew up in Lee’s Summit and attended Lee’s Summit North High School. In 2010, she graduated from Truman State University with a BA in English and a Master of Arts in Education. Coach Gerber began her teaching career in Liberty, MO during the 2011-2012 school year as a 5th grade teacher at Warren Hills Elementary, but is excited about her move to 2nd grade for the 2013-2014 year.  This is her first season coaching LNHS Cheer, and she is excited to help the girls reach their fullest potential!
